In house APAC Travel Manager position from the largest privately owned medical devices company.

Your new company
You will be working with the largest privately owned medical devices company. They pride themselves on professional medical devices company in the life sciences industry. To further expand their business in the Asia Pacific, they are now looking for a bright candidate to join their team.

Your new role
You will be responsible for the management of the Corporate Travel Program within the APAC region in order to ensure accurate, cost-effective travel arrangements for the company's internal employees:

  • Responsible for travel and accommodation arrangements for internal employees at the lowest possible fares based upon travel schedule. Negotiate preferred vendor contract within the travel region to minimise costs for branch and parent company.
  • Building Passenger Name Records (PNRs) and profiles, ticketing, utilization of front room Sabre Computer Reservations System (CRS) productivity, attendance, accuracy of work, invoicing, etc.
  • Leads the team of agents and assist, as needed, in completing all functions related to servicing the client, including ticket processing, clerical functions, prepaid tickets, debit memos, etc.
  • Maintains a high level of competency in operating/programming the Sabre CRS/GDS, Cornerstone QC Systems, Concur Travel Configs Globally
  • Responsible for leading staff and product update meetings for ongoing updates in the travel industry, office procedures, and agency training.
  • Participate in travel behaviour analysis, cost and budget management and vendor performance evaluation
  • Responsible for handling and solving any emergency cases and takes prompt corrective action, where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action, which may be taken


What you'll need to succeed
With> 5 years of working experience and in combination of at least 2-5 years' of management experience in the tourism industry:

  • Bachelor's degree in any disciplines; tourism management degree is an advantage or completion of an accredited travel school program
  • Corporate travel management experience
  • Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of travel industry rules, including proficiency of at least one CRS
  • Ability to meet and maintain performance standards
  • Travel including domestic, international, and weekends as needed
  • Diplomacy and tact required in contact with vendors, coworkers and clients
  • Fluent Cantonese and English
