Applicants should have (i) a recognised Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or relevant disciplines; (ii) at least 8 years’ post-qualification work experience, preferably in internal audit (supervisory experience will be advantageous); (iii) a good command of both English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (iv) good analytical, communication and report writing skills; and (v) commitment to self-development and expansion of knowledge. Those do not fulfil (ii) above but with at least 6 years’ post-qualification work experience in auditing might be considered for appointment as Internal Auditor II. The appointee will report to the Director and Assistant Director of the Internal Audit Office. Duties include (a) planning, organising and conducting financial, operational and compliance audits, including the Management Efficiency Review; (b) undertaking original analysis and research; (c) identifying and communicating observations or issues raised; (d) putting forward appropriate recommendations for improvement in processes, systems or internal controls; and (e) preparing relevant audit reports on the assigned work afterwards. The appointee will undertake internal audit assignments for the University’s operations in Shenzhen. Appointment will be made on a 3-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
