We are currently seeking a motivated Intern to join our investment management team in the Hong Kong office.

This role is suited to someone who is looking to garner experience in the financial institutions insurance and risk transfer field.

The successful candidate will be joining our team for six months, assisting in the research and marketing into the FI sector and also assisting in the mid and back office operations in our organization.

This role requires a diligent team player who is able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills and who can contribute to all aspects of client service by assisting the team to maintain and grow its existing portfolio.

The Role

  • Research the family office, Private Equity and hedge fund industry in Asia by country
  • Producing and correlating data on industry sectors for criteria such as, including but not limited to: service providers and market cap demographics, risk management and risk transfer appetite
  • Research legal and regulatory overviews by geography

 

The Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Proven ability to understand and meet deadlines;
  • Have obtained or are prepared to undertake, the Tier 1 (insurance broking) qualification;
  • Degree qualified or mid qualified preferred;
  • Excellent report writing skills are supported by a reasonable level of competency in Word and Excel and knowledge of PowerPoint;
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize workload;
  • Professional, reliable and able to work autonomously with minimal guidance;
  • Have a sense of drive, ambition and focus on excellence.
