A leading manufacturer of heat activated films, adhesives, water proofing seam tapes, and custom films for many industries including apparel, consumer electronics, and handbags, Bemis is seeking a hands on and organized individual to join our team in the position of IT Technician.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

As a IT Technician, you will be provides 1st level support for our employees. The role is responsible for resolving service desk tickets in accordance with our SLAs, processes and procedures. In addition, the IT Technician contributes to IT projects and initiatives.

 

How you can contribute:

  • Close out service desk tickets in accordance with existing procedures.
  • Escalate tickets as needed.
  • Follow employee on- and off-boarding procedures.
  • Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners.
  • Set up new users' accounts, prepare workstation and conduct IT training.
  • Use remote tools and diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting.
  • Provide suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain the service desk knowledgebase.
  • Collaborate with external parties and service providers.

What you need:

  • Higher Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines. Certifications in IT related subjects are a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an IT support role.
  • Experience in working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with multinational background.
  • Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required, absorb and retain information quickly, present ideas in user-friendly language, and effectively prioritize & execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Details oriented, highly self-motivated/directed and exceptional customer service oriented.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
