About The Company

Our client, a major investment bank, is looking for a Senior DBA Administrator. This new opening provides regional exposure to individuals who want to join a leading financial services firm as an Associate level, Senior Database Administrator (DBA). This company is known to be a leader in investment banking, and it has one of the best track records in terms of IT investment and developing IT talents into senior leadership within the firm.



About the Team

You will work within a team of highly qualified IT team, and report directly to the Regional Head of Database Infrastructure. The direct manager of this opening is a well regarded leader within the firm, and the culture of the team is highly international.



About the Job

As a Senior DBA, you will manage both System Deployment, and Maintenance Support:



Services & system deployment

  • Set up Databases infrastructure architecture in APAC ( SG, HK, JP, IN)
  • Capacity planning, optimization & upgrade
  • Configuration & customization
  • DR/Off country DR strategy planning


Maintenance & Support

  • Provide Incident troubleshooting and support for the Databases infrastructure, assist in providing 2nd level support
  • DB's performance monitoring and fine-tuning
  • DB's problem management and recovery
  • DB's provisioning and usage control
  • Maintain and participate regional DR drills
  • dashboard and charge-out report
  • Track and proactively manage Incidents. Identify areas of potential risks.
  • Track and maintain assets information to be up-to-date.
  • Develop and improve dashboard to meet management and business needs




Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in IT, Information Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • At least 6 years' experience in an IT Function of which 5 years' experience has been as a DBA
  • Certification in Oracle or Sybase ideal
  • Multi-disciplined IT environment with strong background in service delivery ,Production Operational Support
  • Strong interpersonal Skills to interact with fellow team members ,fellow teams both regionally and locally
  • Experience in an investment banking environment will be ideal
  • Fluency in English essential.
