Centre for China Studies

The Centre is seeking a specialist in Chinese governance, society and/or international relations for a Lecturer post in contemporary China studies.

Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in political science, sociology or Chinese studies; (ii) a wide range of teaching interests; and (iii) a high-level of proficiency in English and Chinese.

The appointee will (a) teach mainly courses in contemporary Chinese governance, international relations and/or society in the Centre’s English-taught MA in Chinese Studies programme; and (b) undertake some administrative duties for the MA in Chinese Studies programme.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for two years commencing January 2017, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
