Department of English Language Education
 
The appointee will participate in teaching knowledge transfer and community service.  He/she will also develop, evaluate and teach in programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including professional development programmes (PDPs); provide guidance to students in the capacity of academic adviser; supervise students on teaching practice and contribute to departmental and faculty activities.
 
Applicants should have a Master’s Degree in applied linguistics with a minimum of 4 years’ post-qualification full-time teaching experience at tertiary level.
 
Applicants should preferably have experiences of teacher training in primary section and/or teaching experiences in e-learning area, and possess a relevant professional teaching certificate, e.g. PGDE or qualification of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognized by the Education Bureau of Hong Kong or other qualification of equivalence.  Candidates with front-line teaching experience at the primary level and candidates with GBA experience and/or IT/e-learning competence and development records will be advantages.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  
 
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.  Fringe benefits include contract-end gratuity, leave, medical and dental benefits.
