Centre for Language in Education

The appointee will be responsible for teaching Chinese enhancement programme, providing various kinds of language services, e.g. co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and one-to-one teacher-student consultative sessions, etc., assisting in the administration of courses and assessments, and contributing to the development of teaching and learning materials. He/she will also be expected to contribute to Centre’s projects and initiatives.

Applicants should have a Master’s Degree in Chinese Language/ Chinese Language Education/ teaching Chinese as a second/ foreign language, with preferably relevant post-qualification teaching experience. They should preferably possess a relevant professional teaching certificate, e.g. PGDE or qualification of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognized by the Education Bureau of Hong Kong or other qualification of equivalence, and provide proven evidence of quality teaching and/or successful record of relevant professional experience, at primary/ secondary and or tertiary level. Experience in teaching Chinese as a second/ foreign language is preferable.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
