Subject Area:

Western Food Production

Major Duties:

(a) To perform teaching duties, including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement;

(b) To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;

(c) To develop programme curriculum and teaching materials;

(d) To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and

(e) To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions.

Requirements:

(a) A relevant recognized degree or equivalent;

(b) At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience;

(c) Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; and

(d) Proven records of linkages with the industry or professional bodies would be an added advantage.

Notes:

(1) Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a written assessment in English.

(2) Candidates who possess a recognized Higher Diploma in Hotel and Catering, Catering Studies or a related discipline, or an equivalent professional qualification, with at least 6 years’ relevant experience may also be considered.

(3) The appointee may be required to work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays.
