  • A young & rapidly growing property developer
  • Currently managing 30 property projects located in Hong Kong, with focus in office, residential and industrial properties re-development
  • We are looking for LEGAL & COMPLIANCE MANAGER – with details as follows :
  • Fully responsible for all legal & compliance issues of the Company
  • Formulate and Implement risk and compliance policies and procedures for the Company to operate within all relevant regulatory frameworks in Hong Kong.
  • Identify key compliance and operation risks and weaknesses and recommend enhanced procedures to improve operational efficiency and control for the company.
  • Maintain the monitoring systems, provide risk and compliance advice and ensure the operation in accordance with various risk and compliance parameters.
  • Conduct a vigorous awareness of changes in the regulatory environment and if necessary, modify and adapt changes in the policies, procedures and monitoring systems.
  • Manage licensing matters and outsourced legal advisors.
  • Conduct internal compliance training for the relevant parties.
  • To perform internal compliance audit and supervise compliance improvement.
  • To draft and review agreements, worksheets and marketing or advertising materials.
  • To give compliance support to the firm and any upcoming new business lines.
  • To deal with daily routine compliance work
  • Report to the CEO
  • Lead a small Team
  • Bachelor's degree (or above) in Law / Legal studies or equivalent
  • 5 years (or above) legal or compliance related experience preferably in HK regulated companies
  • Working experience in property developers, investment banks, private equities, related financial institutions, law firms or in-house legal team
  • Ability to interpret regulations and apply to due diligence, oversight reviews and development of risk and compliance policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills with fluency in Chinese and English; Mandarin is certainly a plus.
  • A smart professional caliber, energetic, excellent communication skills, able to work independently
  • No trips is required
