Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice to assigned business division on their day-to-day business operations
  • Draft, review and negotiate a range of agreements, compliance documentation etc.
  • Establish standard form of agreements
  • Establish and implement company policies and procedures to better protect Group's and company's interests
  • Identify legal issues under any contract or document or applicable laws and the related legal risk(s)
  • Conduct legal research and investigate on cases involving legal issues / disputes
  • Assist in the management of litigation or other dispute resolution
  • Liaise and work closely with PRC in-house lawyers / external lawyers on all legal assignments involving external lawyers
  • Provide relevant training to personnel of the assigned business division to ensure the company policies and procedures are well followed
  • Work closely with all other legal departments of the Group or the company to ensure effective collaboration to achieve an advantageous position for the Group and / or the company
  • Assist and provide support on all compliance related activities and to coordinate the company's compliance projects 
  • Other ad hoc projects

 

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor of Hong Kong with at least 5 years' post qualification experience
  • In-house experience in commercial work is preferable
  • Knowledge in retail industry and familiar with the Companies Ordinance (Cap.622)
  • Work independently on full range of legal, compliance and regulatory matters
  • Be a team player and with business acumen
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua
