To provide regional legal services to the company in ensuring corporate matters are within legal and regulatory frameworks including managing internal policies and procedures.

Client Details

Our client specialize in mutual funds, asset management, and regulatory matters with a strong regional presence. This role reports directly to the General Counsel and works in a team of 4.

Description

  • Assist the General Counsel in a range of legal matters including M&A, JVs etc.
  • Prepare legal documents ranging from agreements, forms, correspondences as well as requests for information
  • Work with the head office and other businesses based in APAC by ensuring consistent corporate standards and compliance are upkept
  • Manage corporate governance procedures including preparing board meetings and taking minutes
  • Assist with any litigation and dispute matters when required

Profile

  • Qualified to practice law in a common law jurisdiction with some in-house experience ideally

  • Knowledge of regulations within APAC region covering finanical markets

  • Strong ability to independently work as well as a team player when required

  • Good command of spoken & written English and Chinese (either Mandarin or Cantonese)
