On behalf of our client, we are seeking for high caliber candidate with "Investigation" or "Litigation" experience in Law Firm or Financial Institution. 

 

Main responsibilities include:

 

  • Assisting with managing external legal costs of Litigation team (including budgeting and accrual).

 

  • Assisting with engaging external counsel and monitoring cases assigned to them; auditing and reviewing invoices and legal fees for accuracy.

     

  • Engaging with Litigation’s primary vendors, e.g. eDiscovery vendors, managed document review firms.

 

  • Ensuring that all administrative requirements – for example ensuring that documentation is complete, necessary approvals are in place, evidence is tracked and logged.

 

  • Requesting data from stakeholders across the Bank on behalf of the lead investigators.

 

  • Preparing for interviews (e.g. collating evidence, interview binders); attending investigative interviews and taking notes.

 

  • Carrying out administrative work including review of emails; documents; files; audio recordings.

 

  • Completing open-source and legal research to support the legal team's activities.

     

  • Preparing internal reporting by Excel..

 

  • Participating in special initiatives, as assigned.

 

Requirements:

 

Minimum of 3-5 years of proven and progressive experience as a paralegal in a law firm or corporate law environment

 

Mature, good organizational, analytical, project management and written and verbal communication skills

 

Understanding of substantive legal concepts, court practices and procedures, legal research and documents, procedures and terminology.

 

Proficiency with computers application, Microsoft office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

 

Chinese language capability (speaking, writing and reading)
