Since operating as a Trading Fund Department in 1995, Hongkong Post has become a market-oriented service organisation and grown beyond the traditional postal services to providing a diversified range of services from mail and logistics services, retail business to e-services in addition to the continuous drive to develop new markets, like those emerged from the growth of e-Commerce, in both local and international context. Major responsibilities:

  • To assist in the fitting-out, maintenance, renovation of and alterations and additions to Hongkong Post venues including the preparation of drawings, schedule of repairs and renovation, and estimates;
  • To procure and administer consultant agreements, works contracts and maintenance term contracts;
  • To monitor and certify payment applications submitted by consultants and contractors;
  • To monitor and manage the performance of consultants, contractors and other works agents; and
  • To supervise works and site supervisory staff.

Requirements:

  • Corporate Membership of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) in the Building Surveying Division, or equivalent; or Membership of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) or equivalent;
  • At least one year’s appropriate post-qualification working experience;
  • Level 2 (Grade E before 2007) or above in both Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B before 2007) in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in government building maintenance term contracts;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and high proficiency in computer usage;
  • Good organisation, analytical, interpersonal, project planning/project management skills; and
  • Diligent, with great initiative and good analytical and problem solving abilities.

Terms of Appointment

2-year contract;

Monthly salary $61,060;

14 daysannual leave;

Gratuity payable plus Hongkong Post’s MPF contributions equal to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
