Position Description 

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance & Operations, ideally, you are an all-rounded manager with good knowledge and experience in Salesforce development, database management, infrastructure support, business intelligence tools as well as software integration.

We have been strategically developing the system for our service and fundraising units, mainly to streamline the workflow, capture statistic data, output data, as well as generating KPIs for value-added analysis. Thus, in long run, this role will spend at least 50% of time on overseeing and implementing the applications on Salesforce platform as well as the information flow design. Candidate with relevant qualifications but less experiences will be considered for a role of Assistant Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities 

Application development and user support — Sales Force platform (SF)  

  • Work closely with users to gather, organize, study and document their requirements on application development.
  • Recommend solution includes the technical feasibility as well as reviewing the operation workflow and if needed, assisting in workflow re-engineering with a view to providing an efficient and effective solution to both users and management.
  • System design, implement and conduct testing of new features including automated flows, reports, dashboards, alerts, custom layouts, etc.
  • Salesforce production support including demo, user training, UAT, trouble shooting, bug fixing as well as the post-production review.
  • Effectively manage the system versioning as well as creating and maintaining all documentation of confirmed workflow, system design, UAT results & trail, new/altered functions/features, user manual and training records etc.
  • Manage the add-ons and periphery tools to the main systems to ensure an effective integration. The tools include Survey, LMS, App Exchange, Third Party add-ons, MS Office Integration tools etc.
  • Administer and support existing sub-systems on Salesforce platform.

Infrastructure and user support

  • Administration and oversight of hardware support/rollouts working in partnership with a support vendor covering setup and maintenance of emails, domain logins, security group management, calendar access, desktops, laptops, webcams, tablets, new printers etc.
  • Contract review and management as well as monitoring the vendor performances.
  • Cloud migration proposal and implementation.
  • E-learning platform user support (e.g. content upload) and administration training to users (e.g. how to set up access rights for other users to do the e-learning course).
  • Software upgrades and rollouts e.g. windows and service pack upgrades.
  • Coordination with support vendor of regular BCP tests.
  • Provide IT support to users as needed e.g. answer enquiries and training on custom applications.

IT development and management

  • Establish a standard process for application development including the user requirement documentation, flow chat with information flow diagram, solution design specification and versioning records etc.
  • Keep relationship with core vendors e.g. Salesforce implementation vendors, keep abreast of new knowledge/functions on SF/related applications that will benefit to MC IT development.
  • Establish a good practice of project management such as using tool to build project tasks, keep track of pacing/timeline and update all team players the status etc.
  • Set, manage & monitor IT KPIs.

 

Requirements 

  • Degree holder in Information technology or equivalent. Processing a Salesforce Certification is an advantage but not a must.
  • 8 years relevant experience with 2-3 years in managerial role.
  • Excellent technical skills with hands-on experience in system analysis and design with relational database.
  • Well verse in Salesforce application and a solid know-how in system development with the platform or having solid experience and skills on Java programming and frameworks.
  • Database management and SQL experience is preferable.
  • Excellent user facing and communication skills, both in English and Cantonese.
  • Excellent project management skills, multitasking and deadline conscious.
  • Able to work independently with strong sense of responsibility.
  • Willing to learn and be a self-learner on relevant technology tools and skills.
  • A good team player with ability to cope with pressure and pay attention to detail.
  • Must share the commitment of Mother’s Choice in upholding the safety and protection of children as paramount.
