You will be responsible for: 

  • managing various IT engagements, projects and business applications with technology and business leaders, internal IT teams and vendors to ensure seamless system implementation and business operations excellence;
  • providing technical advice, defining and managing application architecture, performing full development life cycle, and be accountable for final deliverables;
  • managing IT solutions from business initiative, system planning, tender preparation to implementation, change management, production deployment, and vendor relationship and oversight vendor related activities;
  • managing the overall system planning, execution, monitoring, and optimizing utilization of applications;
  • performing implementation activities including but not limited to business processes mapping, advise on operations improvement, requirements gathering and analysis, system design and analysis, knowledge transfer, and change management processes;
  • ensuring all applications and solutions operate according to the Authority’s IT standards and industrial best practices, and in a stable and effective manner with good quality, including but not limited to the architecture, coding standards, information security;
  • coordinating post-implementation support and preventative maintenance activities with vendors, IT and business users; and
  • keeping abreast with the latest technology trend, continuous measure, propose and explore enhancement opportunities to drive operational excellence and effectiveness.

 

You should: 

  • possess a recognised university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent;
  • have minimum 10 years of relevant IT experience with at least 5 years in the Manager level, preferably in sizable organisation;
  • have prior experience in both functional and technical perspective of Retail and E-Commerce/ Digital Signage/ E-Tendering/ Workforce/ CRM/ Website Content Management would be an advantage;
  • have knowledge of and experience in digital transformation, mobile app, and cloud technology (AWS or similar) would be an advantage;
  • have solid experience in application development and system design for technology initiatives using a hybrid mix of traditional and agile SDLC methodologies, strong project management, vendor management, and problem-solving skills;
  • have good managerial skill, a team player, self-motivated and capable to lead a small team; be innovative with strong enthusiasm in exploring new technologies;
  • possess professional qualifications in PMP, Prince2, Agile, Scrum would be an advantage; and
