Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Drive the development of sustainability roadmap and strategy, to identify new initiatives to raise Group’s profile in sustainability
  • Develop the workplan & pipeline according to strategies developed, facilitate local teams in different sites globally to deliver
  • Ownership of supply chain project intake and status of ongoing projects on a shareable platform 
  • Conduct assessment and deliver regular tracking of sustainability development progress and KPI performance
  • Partner with Product Development team to develop sustainability products and carbon management products which include sustainability assessments and verification
  • Conduct sustainability reporting and benchmarking, including the coordination with other departments for data management and promotion of sustainability performance to stakeholders 

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • A pioneering, leadership frame of mind. A propensity to think and act big. Positive demeanor, bridge builder, and adept at conflict resolution
  • Degree holder in Environmental studies, or other relevant disciplines
  • Good command in English and Chinese
  • Frequent travelling
  • Minimum 8 years environmental supply chain sustainability experience

Work experience will include:

  • Extensive environmental auditing and capacity building experience in factories and mills and complex supply chain environmental project management coordinating multiple work streams in key impact categories (carbon/energy, water, waste, chemicals)
  • Experience in the apparel/trim product making process and product responsibility
  • Familiarity with apparel/trim sustainability strategy, legislation, social responsibility, NGO’s and industry activities
  • Excellent understanding of environmental metrics (including the Higg Index), LCA’s, reporting standards such as GRI, and carbon auditing/carbon accounting schemes
  • Good understanding of bluesign® and other supply chain environmental certifications
  • Familiarity with social and environmental trends, standard and guidelines
  • Supplier seminar training experience is preferred
