The incumbent will be playing a strategic partner role responsible for advising and executing T&D initiatives in different operations in order to align the Group’s people development strategy and driving business results. Besides supporting the team in planning, driving and managing the training and development programs, the incumbent also supports the development of e-learning platform (Esquel University), including developing curriculum and working with the business unit heads for developing relevant training programs.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and executing the T&D strategic plan throughout the Group
  • Implement people and talent development programs
  • Develop the curriculum of Esquel University and respective content
  • Develop e-learning materials for core programs of Esquel University
  • Design and deliver custom-made programs based on corporate needs and train up a pool of high-quality trainers
  • Adopt an analytical mindset and use data to manage the training effectiveness and for benchmarking 
  • Adopt technology, including gamification, to make training effective and creative  
  • Build an environment/ platform/ mechanism for organizational learning and knowledge management
  • Support any business conferences, events, cross-function team and ad-hoc projects
  • Track the developmental progress and performance of the talents, and arrange respective development opportunities to them
  • Provide advice and guidance to develop and empower the local T&D teams and drive results

 

Requirements

  • Degree/ Master Holder in Human Resources/ Training & Development/ Communication or other related disciplines
  • Minimum 5-year of experience in Training & Development, Journalism, Corporate Communication or Academic field. At least 3 years of managerial experience is preferred
  • Experience in multi-national and multi-country environment
  • Experience in driving global/corporate project, and working with local operations/functions
  • A good team player and able to work independently with operational units as well as head office professionals
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
  • Good written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
  • Occasional travel to other locations (Asia and/or China) is required
