The HKUST MBA Office is searching for a capable and dynamic individual to fill the position of Manager. The candidate will drive and deliver a wide range of corporate development initiatives in order to build and develop corporate partnership across different industries, and create more placement opportunities and candidates pool for both digital and traditional MBA programs. Student advising will also be an essential part of the role and the appointee will be expected to guide students’ career choices based on his/her experience and strong sense of market situations and trends. The appointee will focus on the following areas:

  • CorporateOutreach: Strategize corporate development plan and maintain strong business partnership with employers from different business sectors. Identify relevant job opportunities for students, as well as attract prospective DiMBA candidates via corporates relationships.


  • Alumni Relationship: Develop high level of alumni engagement with well-designed events and activities to encourage alumni contribution through donations, employment opportunities, industry knowledge and mentorship for MBA students.


  • StudentAdvising:Support MBA students’ internship and full-time job placement by guiding students on career planning and interview/CV preparation. Advise students on market situations by drawing on insights and feedbacks from corporate partners, latest news and strong business acumen.


  • Event & Project Management: Plan and communicate with internal and external parties to manage events including but not limited to alumni activities, career fair and business leaders’ events. Manage projects such as system enhancement and process improvements.


  • Ad-hocTasks: Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support ad-hoc or administrative tasks according to seasonal team needs.


Applicantsshouldhavea bachelor’s degree with preferably 7 years of post-qualification work experience. Candidates with experience in education technology, recruitment, B2B business development, corporate partnership or membership acquisition are highly desirable. Strong business acumen with a can- do attitude is essential. Passion in education industry is a plus. The ideal candidate should be a results-driven professional with excellent interpersonal skill, and be able to communicate with both senior executives and young professionals. An excellent command in written and spoken English and Chinese is a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Office application is required (Word, Team, OneDrive, Sway, PowerPoint, Excel). Working outside normal office hours and on occasional Saturdays will be required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided where applicable. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
