Job Responsibilities

  • Develop PR strategies and plans for the responsible markets
  • Hands-on supervision on the PR works of the responsible markets is highly required
  • Drive PR publicity on Hong Kong through proactive engagement with HK-based foreign correspondents
  • Ensure effective and consistent communications of HKTB’s mega events and HK’s brand positioning to overseas media by working closely with overseas offices and PR agencies
  • Monitor potential issues about Hong Kong in the responsible markets.  Prepare communications/contingency plan and line-to-take in response to the issues.
  • Maximize publicity of HKTB’s overseas efforts in the HK media scene by proactively engaging local media
  • Manage global/regional PR projects assigned by Management
  •  Handle travel trade media enquiries

 Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or above in related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in Public Relations/Communications/Media
  • Strong knowledge in management regional PR projects and relationship building with partners within the tourism industry and PR community in HK
  • Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good networking with media
  • Proven organisational and analytical abilities
  • A team player with excellent attitude and able to work under pressure
  • Experience working as a journalist or editor of a media organization is a plus
