Job Posting Details

The Academic Registry is looking for an appointee to support the administration of undergraduate studies and contribute to other regulatory and quality assurance activities.

As a Manager within the University Quality Assurance and Enhancement team, the appointee will take the lead in supporting the academic administration of the University’s undergraduate curriculum and courses. Key responsibilities include advising units on the development/approval of new curriculum/courses and curriculum/course changes; vetting proposals; reviewing curricular requirements and setup to align with University policies; developing and maintaining program/course datasets and curriculum-related publications/websites; and supporting the Committee on Undergraduate Studies, as well as other ad-hoc subgroups/working groups. The work requires a detailed understanding of academic regulations and involves considerable liaison with staff and faculty in the academic departments and the wider academic administration.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in academic administration of undergraduate studies in tertiary education institutions. A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese is required. Proficiency in Putonghua is preferred. The appointee should be self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility; able to work independently and capable of meeting deadlines; a team player with good interpersonal skills and an analytical and critical mind. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
