As the Managing Editor/Historian, you will plan and execute projects for the organization's mission (to keep historical record for Hong Kong).

Our client is a locally based NGO with a mission to promote Chinese history, art, and culture in Hong Kong.

Description

As the project leader for one of the organization's flagship project, you will plan, development and execute projects in order to complete the local history collection in Hong Kong. Your responsibilities will also include compiling, editing, and approving drafts. You will coordinate with contributors and ensure all written materials are delivered on time. Acting as the department head, you will provide guidance to the team members and coordinate their work arrangements.

Profile

To qualify, you should be a holder of degrees in humanities, social studies, or history (holders of doctorate degree are preferred). This position also requires 12+ years of teaching or research experience in universities, with in-depth understanding of Hong Kong's history and current events. The content of the historical collection will mostly be in Chinese, but writing ability in English is also required.
