Responsibilities

  • Station in HK Headquarter Office, regularly visit the Company vessel and report operational matters including navigation, deck and cargo and HSSE related matters.
  • Supervising all safe mooring operations in compliance with procedure and simulations.
  • Preparing, reviewing and implementing work procedures for terminal operations. 
  • Advice on all navigation, mooring, berthing, un-berthing and cargo issues and represent the Company at ship/shore interface meetings as and when required. 
  • Assist with the assessment of operational risks as necessary 
  • Create, Review, Distribute and maintain records of Marine Advisory Notices
  • Attend LNG load and discharge ports as observer.
  • Investigate and provide corrective and preventive actions on navigational, cargo and marine related incidents.
  • Cost and budgeting controlwith regard to port expenditure, purchasing of stores and other shipboard services related to the Deck management area.
  • Conduct vessels inspection and ensure compliance with class / statutory requirement & sea worthiness
  • Communicate with vessels on routine basis, carries out schedule audit, internal and external
  • Monitor the performance of vessels within the area of responsibilities and all activities impacting on operations of vessels and the company

 

Requirements

  • Holder of CoC Class 1
  • Experience as Master/Chief Officer or Chief Engineer/2nd Engineer preferred on LNG carriers
  • At least 5 years experience in shipboard management on shore and 6 years in fleet operations in shipping companies
  • Familiar with International and National Statutory requirements and with knowledge of SOLAS, MARPOL, SOPEP
  • Strong leadership skill and excellent communication skills.
  • Dynamic, committed, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive team player and able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Proficient PC skills in MS Office
  • Good command of both spoken and written in English
