Accountabilities – Key Result Areas
- Work closely with buying team for all kinds of merchandising management activities, supply and demand gap management, safety stock review, demand forecasts and stock level optimization
- Work closely with Retail team and Warehouse on allocation strategies and executions
- Maintain monthly OTB, forecast sales, margin, receipts and inventory on a monthly basis. Speak to changes and variances.
- Communicate the state of the business in weekly meetings and monthly OTB meetings. Recommend strategic actions to maximize sales and margin, optimize inventory, and mitigate risk.
- Present analysis by style, delivery, & category to Buying team to understand merchandise performance & develop future goals
- Monitor periodically the stock level, merchandise allocation plan, logistics flow from ordering to delivery at stores and related SOPs of system administrations
- Analyze business performance through various reports on sales trends and patterns, stock replenishment and inventory level in a weekly cycle
- To drive and plan inventory clearance by depletion plans of slow-moving and obsoletes inventory
- To support ad-hoc assignments or inventory related projects
Experience / Qualification Requirements
- Degree holder in business or supply chain related discipline, with excellent command in Japanese, and a pass in Japanese Proficiency Test Level 1
- With at least 6-8 years of management experience in retail merchandise and inventory planning, preferably in the fashion/lifestyle/ retail industry
- Highly sensitive to figures and strong analytical skills
- Attention to detail with the high level of accuracy
- Good interpersonal skills and presentation skills
- Station in Japan is required
