Responsibilities

  • Strategic planning: Establish business plans of the merchandising team/customer portfolio to support the achievement of business objectives
  • Manage a team of merchandisers to meet customers’ order requirements from sample to bulk production
  • Capacity planning to ensure merchandising services is able to meet/exceed customer expectation
  • Assure that our samples and goods are in good quality, and are prepared and distributed to customers in a timely manner
  • Prepare and recommend a price quotation that is competitive in markets
  • Revisit and strengthen operation procedures and processes for continuous improvement
  • Assurance of operation quality through involving in the obtaining of ISO standards
  • Maintain a close communication with sales offices so as to meet customer expectations
  • Foster environment that promotes personal development of customers and their businesses, high morale amongst entire merchandising team and personally sets the example for development of senior merchandisers and merchandisers
  • Set the overall strategy and direction for the team
  • Ensure that pricing, promotional strategies and marketing support the financial objectives of the team
  • Work with customers to strengthen market relationships and knowledge of market trend, strengths and weaknesses
  • Understand competitors’ strengths, weaknesses and strategies
  • Facilitate and promote timely communication and cooperation between customers, merchandising functions, vendors, suppliers, operation departments and resources
  • Lead sample room technicians, accessory purchasers and QA staff to meet customer order requirements from sample to bulk production 

Requirements

  • Form 5 or above
  • At least 7 years experience in coordinating and executing accurate and effective merchandising functions
  • Solid experience in handling Woven, Cut & Sewn clothing product
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of merchandising operations and procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal, decision making and organization skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Able to develop and empower a merchandising team
  • Frequent travel to China is required
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Merchandising Manager
  • Immediately available is highly preferred
