Multimedia Art Director (Ref: AMS-40)

Purpose of the Position:

SCMP is looking for a creative Multimedia Art Director to join our commercial content team. This content creation role will be heavily involved in developing, branding and creating multimedia elements for our client facing content. We’re looking for an energetic and inspired storyteller who isn’t afraid to push boundaries and experiment with engaging ways to make branded content stand out.

Successful candidates will have experience creating a variety of interactive and multimedia content with a strong creative eye. 

This role will be managing several projects at the same time, it is essential that you be organized and excellent at multitasking.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Multimedia Art Director will be responsible for bringing Morning Studio content to life using creative visual storytelling. This candidate will manage all creative output that comes out from our Morning Studio creative team.

  • Pitch, develop, and execute all multimedia elements in Morning Studio’s content
  • Work with other team members to create innovative and technical solutions with a focus in multimedia elements. 
  • Responsible for the creation and execution of innovative multimedia content. Initiate ideas, conceptualise designs, and review content and materials.
  • In charge of commissioning a portfolio of freelancers to execute different projects
  • Research and develop original stories that can be visualised into interactive infographic websites
  • Creating of branding for a Morning Studio content series and an entire graphic package (logos, promotional banners, animated instagram stories, EDMs etc.) 
  • Contribute to creative meetings and brainstorm sessions
  • Manage several client facing video projects at the same time
  • Have their finger on the pulse of new content trends, styles and platforms 
  • Mentor junior team members

 

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Design or related disciplines.
  • At least 6 years relevant experience with reputable publishing companies, advertising agencies, or digital marketing.
  • Outstanding skills in motion graphics, post-production, branding, style guide creation, video production and graphic design.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and responsive design. Basic knowledge in HTML5 would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of UX / UI design.
  • Proficient in using common design, web and video software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, DreamWeaver).
  • Good editorial judgement and extensive knowledge of news and current events, entertainment, culture and viral content
  • Organizational skills that allow for multiple projects to be produced simultaneously 
  • Must work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to ad-lib and improvise effortlessly in various types of situations
  • Must be okay with occasional travel and field producing
  • Independent with strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Work well under pressure with an ability to meet deadlines
  • Must consume a variety of digital content
