Job Duties:
To coordinate and monitor the data checking of the Centralized Museum Collection Management System (MCMS) of Museum

To prepare data for the Public Access and Resources Centre modules of Centralized MCMS

To act as supervisor of the Servicers working on data entry

To assist as Museum’s system administrator in Centralized MCMS (e.g. in opening of accounts, delegation of authority during acting appointments, coordinating with the maintenance contractor
when bugs are spotted, etc.)
to coordinate collection data for the Collection Management Team and assist in the Team’s daily operations such as stocktaking, accessioning and locating objects; and

To perform any other administrative works assigned by the Collection Management Team.

Possesses a Bachelor degree from a local university or equivalent;

Possess at least 2 years of managerial and supervisory experience in art/history-related field in a museum;

Proficiency in Chinese and English data entry and MS office applications, eg. MS Word, MS Excel or MS Access

Working experience in LCSD museum-related services or collections is mandatory;

Working experience in operating LCSD museum-related computerized collections management system, including the new and old systems is mandatory, and should demonstrate understanding
of the processes and workflows of daily of collection management in LCSD museums, such as acquisition, retrieval, loan-in, loan-out, assessioning, stocking, library/resource centre, public access, etc.;

Good knowledge in handling AV equipment, and

Have patient, careful and responsible manners and capable to work independently and systematically.
