The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) offers over 20 innovative degree programmes that are vocationally oriented and developed with significant industry input. All the programmes are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, and most are also accredited by the relevant professional bodies. In 2018/19 AY, twelve programmes will be included in the Government’s Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions / Sectors (SSSDP), which provides subsidies to students varying from $41,000 to $71,700 per year. Major duties:
(a) To perform administrative duties in one or more of the following areas:
(i) Student administration and support services,
(ii) Human resources management and support services,
(iii) Work-integrated learning of students,
(iv) Secretariat and central services;
(b) To supervise and co-ordinate the work of clerical and supporting staff and ensure the effective delivery of services;
(c) To assist in the formulation, implementation and review of operational policies, systems and procedures;
(d) To undertake committee work in various meetings, committees and boards;
(e) To help formulate and implement the quality assurance policy; and
(f) To provide executive and secretarial support to projects, functions and events.

Requirements:
(a) A recognised degree or equivalent qualification;
(b) At least two years’ post-degree relevant work experience at supervisory or executive level, preferably in educational institutions or comparable organisations;
(c) Good communication, inter-personal, organisational and administrative skills;
(d) A pro-active approach and ability to work independently; and
(e) High level of written and spoken language proficiency in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua.

Notes:
(1) Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend and pass a written test in Chinese and English.
(2) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays.
(3) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(4) The candidate may be appointed on temporary terms of appointment.
(5) Candidates who have responded to the previous advertisements in the last 3 months need not apply.
