The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) offers 21 innovative degree programmes that are vocationally oriented and developed with significant industry input. All the programmes are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, and most are also accredited by the relevant professional bodies. In 2020/21 academic year, ten programmes will be included in the HKSAR Government’s Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions / Sectors (SSSDP), which provides subsidies to students varying from $42,800 to $74,600 per year. Major Duties:
The appointee shall report to the Principal Investigator (PI) of the project. He/she will be required to perform literature review / data collection and data analysis; participate in a project to investigate chemicals in food; conduct experiments for chemical analysis and cell culture; and perform other research duties as assigned by the PI.

Requirements:
Applicants should have a recognised sub-degree in Food Science or Food Technology with good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, as well as good administrative, interpersonal and communication skills. He/she should have a strong sense of responsibility, good organisational skills, good work initiative and an ability to work independently. Those with working experience in functional food production company and research knowledge of medicinal mushrooms, ultrasonication, microbial culture and SPSS would have an advantage.

Notes:
(1) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays.
(2) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(3) The appointee(s) will work on Tsing Yi Campus.
