Financial Control – Business Performance and Management Information

Hang Seng's Financial Control function works closely with the Bank's stakeholders, including business partners, shareholders, regulators and external examiners. We function as their accountants and business partners in providing comprehensive information on financial management, financial planning, financial reporting and compliance, capital planning and reporting, financial control & SOX control, tax advisory, insurance finance, and treasury and investment finance.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Planning Manager.

Principal responsibilities

  • Assist Senior Planning Manager in budgeting, forecasting and analysis of existing businesses performance and identify opportunity for improvement.
  • Prepare budget and forecast management reports, and analyze financial data in a timely, consistent and accurate      manner.
  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports on business performance.
  • Perform periodic and ad hoc review of the Bank’s budget & planning models, and methodologies
  • Develop and lead the implementation of internal control policies and procedure, cost saving, approval control,      budgetary control and financial strategies in business
  • Communicate with internal and external customers to provide information as required for AOP monitoring purposes,  and the impacts on AOP/LE as a result of any organization structural changes, adoption of Group policy and guideline.

Requirements

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration OR a related discipline, with a recognized      qualification such as ACCA or HKICPA preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, preferably with a comprehensive understanding to the AOP process and      business performance analytical skills
  • Excellent management skills in leading and monitoring his/her teams
  • Ability to work independently, with good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
