The job holder’s responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young person’s for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/he comes into contact will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the relevant Cognita Safeguarding; Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all times. If in the course of carrying out the duties of the role, the job holder identifies any instance that a child is suffering or likely to suffer significant harm either at school or at home, s/he must report any concerns to the School’s Child Protection Officer/Designated Safeguarding Lead or to the Head of indeed to the Regional CEO so that a referral can be made accordingly to the relevant third party services.



Responsibilities:

  • Accountable to Lead Teacher, Head of School and Director of Teaching and Learning  
  • Responsible for the implementation of the Woodland Pre-Schools Policies  
  • Responsible for the learning outcomes of the children in their class 
  • Responsible for communicating the learning outcomes to their class children’s parents 
  • Responsible for the delivery & implementation of our Woodland Pre-Schools curriculum 
  • Responsible for implementation of professional development initiatives 
  • Support and guide any teaching assistant assigned to the class 
  • Attend and actively participate in all professional development as required, including staff meetings 
  • Collaboration with planning is an expectation 
  • Implement Woodland Pre-School Health and Safety Policies, and Woodland Pre-Schools Safeguarding Policies 
  • Contribute towards the Woodland desired culture by taking opportunities to promote the philosophy and policies of Woodland Pre-Schools 
  • Undertake Duty of Care 
  • Provide any other reasonable duties as delegated by the campus leadership  

 

Requirements:

  • Native English speakers
  • Must be holder of Bachelor of Education Degree; Post Graduate Diploma/Certificate in Early Childhood Education
  • Excellent interpersonal skill, energetic, and able to work independently
  • Registered Teacher with EDB, preferably with Qualified Kindergarten Teacher Status
  • Experience with young children aged 6 to 24 months 
  • A love of children and passion for teaching
  • Start date: Aug 2022
  • Location - Mid-levels
