Post-doctoral Fellow/RA/RAI/RAII (3 posts)

Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow/Research Associate/Research Assistant I/II (3 posts) in the Department of Chemistry (Ref.: 498689), to commence in October 2019 for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Science or Engineering, with a background in Chemistry and/or Materials Science. They should have a good command of written and spoken English. Those with research experience in materials synthesis in ceramics and metal oxides, and catalysis are preferred. The appointees will participate in an Innovation Technology Fund (ITF) project. They will organize and execute research project to meet project targets; conduct project planning; and handle synthesis of catalyst materials, characterize its chemical and physical properties, and test performance. They will also have the opportunities to interact with the industries. Applicants with less qualifications may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I/II. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
