Ming Wai Lau Centre for Reparative Medicine (MWLC), Stockholm / Hong Kong

Ming Wai Lau Centre for Reparative Medicine (MWLC) (https://ki.se/mwlc) aims to contribute to the improvement of human health by conducting cutting-edge research in reparative medicine and related subjects, by creating a new platform for synergies between academia and innovation in Sweden and Hong Kong as well as China, and fostering future leaders in both academia and industry.

http://ki.se/mwlc has two nodes, one in Hong Kong and one in Stockholm, currently with 4 and 6 scientific teams, respectively, specialising in different aspects of reparative medicine. The ten teams closely interact as one centre for collaborative efforts via a series of workshops and seminars interchangeably held in Hong Kong and Stockholm, as well as other routine investigator-initiated communications.

Applications are invited for a post-doctoral fellow position as bioinformatician in Reparative Medicine at MWLC placed either in Stockholm or Hong Kong.

Duties

The position is available for an initial period of 2 years, with possible extension for additional 2 years. The successful candidate for the position will be part of a larger network of experienced bioinformaticians in Stockholm and Hong Kong. The Hong Kong node also includes a single-cell profiling division.

The applicant will participate in projects of the research groups at the https://ki.se/en/research/stockholm-node and the https://ki.se/en/research/hong-kong-node of MWLC.

The candidate will participate in the experimental planning, processing, analysis, integration and publication of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data including quantitative ChIP-Seq, single-cell RNA-Seq and ATAC-Seq, TT-Seq, chromosome interactome data and proteomics. The tasks will include bioinformatics data management and analysis including statistical analysis and meta-analysis. The successful candidate will work together with other members of the team and with collaborators.
