Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society.

The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the Government in combatting illegal gambling. In 2019/20, the Club made a record return to the Government of HK$19.9 billion in duty and profits tax and contributed HK$0.8 billion to the Lotteries Fund. Approved charity and community donations were HK$4.5 billion.

The Club is Hong Kong's largest single taxpayer and one of the city’s major employers. Its Charities Trust is also one of the world's top ten charity donors. The Club is always "riding high together for a better future" with the people of Hong Kong.

Process Improvement Specialist (1-year Contract)
 

The Department
Our Finance Department is responsible for providing financial analysis, planning, control and accounting services to the key business units within the Club. With the Club developing its business to meet new customer needs, Finance is playing an expanded and increasingly proactive role.

The Job
You will:

  • Perform current state process understanding and mapping
  • Work with users and Corporate Controllership personnel to obtain / create data sources to analyse, identify and validate key pain points
  • Assist with developing operational and system enhancements to address the pain points
  • Create implementation plans to deliver the enhancement
  • Monitor the progress against action plans

About You
You should have:

  • University degree in Business or relevant discipline
  • 4-10 years’ experience in a process improvement related position within a sizable organization or consulting firm
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, including data analytics and visualization (Preferable)
  • Experience in process improvement projects, preferably as a Project or Workstream Lead
  • Exceptional communication skills, particularly English speaking. Cantonese and Putonghua are a plus but are not a requirement

Terms of employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A temporary employment will be offered to the successful candidate. Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
