Position Summary

The product Manager must be someone who has the energy, and the ability to articulate a vision for their product, and to have the persistence to see their vision come to a commercial success.

They will have the right leadership skills to persuade customers to buy their product and partners to invest in its creation.

 

Job Responsibilities

The product manager will

  • Be a leading figure in the development project team and will represent the customer’s and business’s voice within a project development team at all times. If the customer experience is not a smooth or seamless as expected, it is the product manager who articulates what needs to be done and ensures it is done.
  • Be responsible to create a “launch” and “market introduction plan” with targeted distribution and customer channels and oversee programs to generate initial demand.
  • Be responsible to maximise the ROE and gross margin generated for the products under their responsibility. This is best done by ensuring the value proposition is well defined, easily communicated and demonstrable, with plenty of “reasons to believe”.
  • Product life cycle management and oversee the launch of a new product while arranging the economic end of its predecessor product.
  • Be the point person for any discussions regarding the products look and feel and the user experience.
  • Also be the “product owner” in our “Scrum Development Process” and will prioritise work according to the most demanded and valuable feature set.
  • To ensure there is an appropriate range of accessories and adjacent businesses to maximise the proposition and margin.
  • To create, enhance and promote the “value proposition” for a product family. And to ensure the value proposition is demonstrable so that the customer becomes our biggest fan.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or above majored in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years in MKT position; 10 years work experience; Updated knowledge of
  • Phones/Apps will be considered essential.
  • International exposure of electronic markets. Acquainted with western culture, consuming habits and sales channels.
  • Proactive, energetic, customer-orientated and able to work under pressure;
  • Have strong people skills; presentation skills; and teams skills, knowing when to lead and when to be a team player.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
