Product Marketing Manager (Ref: AMS-PMM)

Purpose of the Position:

The South China Morning Post seeks a Product Marketing Manager to manage the digital growth of Specialist Publications products. This person will play an integral role in designing the marketing strategy and direction of the products. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with excellent analytical thinking, project management, and communications skills.  


Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop effective marketing strategies for the audience reach, engagement and retention, with particular focus on the Southeast Asian market
  • Project manage campaign executions with in-house and external marketing and product specialists.
  • Manage interdepartmental collaboration to continue improving the products’ content and user experience and develop strong product positioning and messaging that resonate with target audience
  • Lead qualitative and quantitative studies to gain insights of the existing audience demographics, interests and behaviors and discover untapped opportunities of user personas
  • Understand the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned
  • Assess the effectiveness of campaigns and programs and report back on required changes
  • Conduct data analysis on digital campaign performances to gain actionable insights for optimization and improve KPIs


Job Requirements:

  • At least 6 years experience as a Product Marketing Manager or similar role; marketing consultancy background is relevant as well  
  • Digital experience and understanding of publishing and editorial advantageous
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with marketing colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties
  • Solid research skills to gain insights of reader needs and experience
  • Strong experience in turning data insights into actions to drive KPIs
  • Must be a strong communicator, comfortable in front of large and / or senior leadership team


Working location will be at Causeway Bay office.
