The Department of Mathematics, with strong commitment in first-class research and nurturing high-quality students, now invites applications for Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor positions in (a) Statistics, or an area which complements the department’s research profile; and (b) Applied / Computational Mathematics and Scientific Computing.

The appointee is expected to conduct research in areas of Applied / Computational Mathematics and Scientific Computing / Statistics, teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervise research students, and perform any other duties as assigned.

Applicants should possess a relevant PhD degree in Applied / Computational Mathematics or Statistics with an excellent research record. Candidates with an excellent research record of scholarly achievements will be considered for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor / Professor.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of three years commencing September 2017. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
