Established in 2000, the College of International Education (CIE) is a self-funded unit of Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) offering full-time Associate Degree and Undergraduate Honours Degree programmes at both the HKBU Kowloon Tong and Shatin Shek Mun campuses. It is a major education providing unit of the School of Continuing Education (SCE), one of the eight Faculties/Schools of HKBU. CIE currently enrolls about 4,000 students and is committed to sustaining the University’s mission of providing quality whole-person higher education with a Christian heritage. English is used as the medium of instruction at the College. Applications are now invited for the following positions:

Programme Administrator / Assistant Programme Administrator (PR0440/20-21)

The appointees will be responsible for day-to-day coordination and administrative support for academic programmes offered by the College of International Education (CIE). Major duties include providing administrative support to: a) programme admission and class scheduling; b) examination matters; c) consolidating data for statistical analysis and reporting in relation to programme quality assurance and enhancement; and d) committee work. They will also be required to provide academic support to teaching staff and students.

Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree with at least three years of relevant experience. They should have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), effective communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills, and proficiency in computer applications, including advanced skills in MS Excel. Experience in information systems support and knowledge of HTML will be an advantage. Candidates with less experience will be considered for the post of Assistant Programme Administrator.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written assessment. The appointee will be required to serve at Shatin Shek Mun campus.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
