The University
Established by the Hong Kong Government in 1989, OUHK today has developed into a young, dynamic, full-fledged university. We began offering full-time face-to-face programmes since 2001 and currently have about 10,000 full-time and 9,500 part-time students in the five Schools at the OUHK with about 220 programmes of studies. In addition, there are about 2,000 full-time/part-time students studying in LiPACE.

Li Ka Shing Institute of Professional & Continuing Education (LiPACE)
As one of the six academic units of the OUHK, the LiPACE is a dynamic, market-oriented and fast growing continuing education provider. With the mission of promoting life-long learning, the LiPACE offers a variety of flexible and high-quality educational opportunities, with an emphasis on face-to-face teaching, to the public for personal development, career advancement and appreciation of life. These include professional and training programmes, full-time programmes (e.g. Diploma Yi Jin, Diploma and Higher Diploma), full-time/part-time degree programmes in collaboration with overseas institutions, the Capacity Building Mileage Programme (a flexible learning project designed to equip women with a positive mindset and develop their potentials) in collaboration with the Women’s Commission, and the Elder Academy supported by the Elderly Commission.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following:

  • undertaking business development duties and activities in relation to local corporate training, including design and development of corporate training programmes, handling of contractual agreements, appointment of trainers and implementation of QA measures;
  • preparing proposals, budgets and quotations in response to tenders; 
  • providing executive support in administration and management of the Institute’s corporate training programmes; 
  • liaising with internal and external parties (e.g. training clients, corporate partners, trainers, etc.) in relation to the development and delivery of local corporate training programmes; 
  • monitoring the work schedule and performance of trainers in learning material development, setting and marking of assessment and teaching.

 

Requirements
Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

  • a higher degree in any discipline and/or professional qualifications;
  • solid experience in writing tender responses and managing tendered programmes; 
  • relevant teaching/administration experience in tertiary/continuing education sector preferred; 
  • good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; and
  • proficiency in both English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua).

 

Compensation Package
Competitive compensation package including basic salary, end-of-contract gratuity and discretionary incentive (if any) will be provided to the right candidate. Fringe benefits such as generous annual leave, staff development leave, staff learning and development sponsorship, medical & dental benefits and life insurance coverage will also be provided.
