Responsibilities

  • Develops solutions for architectural technical systems and details in support of project design intent
  • Explores design studies in 2D and 3D formats to determine optimal solutions
  • Coordinates design development, production, and delivery of projects as a technical leader of the project team
  • Contributes to project delivery strategies, coordinates with external consultants, and supervises production of benchmark documents
  • Assists in communicating with client representatives to identify long-term and short-term objectives of the design process
  • Reports to Design Director and HOK leadership regarding progress and performance of projects

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required, Master’s degree preferred
  • 6 to 8 years of architectural work experience, preferably dealing with projects in China.
  • Demonstrable skills in creative design solutions
  • Registered Architect (HKIA/AIA/RIBA/Equivalent) preferred
  • LEED accreditation preferred
  • Knowledge of architectural construction methodology and building systems
  • Committed to the advantages of QA/QC processes
  • Knowledge of Revit preferred
  • Experienced use of industry standard methods for issue tracking  and design coordination
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English and Mandarin required
