Department of Journalism & Communication

The post is established under the recently funded QESS Project, entitled “Enhancing teaching and learning by effective utilization of free and open source software (FOSS).” 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the project activities (i.e. the project deliverables) such as seminars, workshops, competitions, including assisting and handling procurement, documentation and reporting, etc;

  • Proofread and edit the Handbook of FOSS;

  • Organize and coordinate the end project conference;

  • Provide coordinating efforts within the team and with outside consultants efficiently;

  • Assist in producing video clips and animations using FOSS for teaching and learning; and

  • Undertake any other tasks as assigned by the Principal Investigator or his/her delegates.

 

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree or above;

  • Possess strong communication and analytical skills;

  • Good writing skills (both written and spoken English and Chinese); and

  • Experience in online learning and mobile learning development at higher education institutions is an advantage.
