Department of Science and Environmental Studies

The appointee will participate in a school-based support project aimed to develop upper primary and secondary teachers’ capacity to promote STEM education in their schools. He/She will assist the Project Leaders and other members of the project in coordinating the whole project to ensure adequate support is provided to the school partners, liaising with stakeholders internally and externally, supervising staff, evaluating the project, writing reports, and performing any other duties as assigned. The appointment will be for a period of about 12 months.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education/Science or related disciplines with substantial work experience in tertiary institutions and schools (primary or secondary), preferably not less than 12 years of post-qualification working experience. They should have sound knowledge in curriculum development and instructional design. They should have excellent interpersonal, language (written and verbal) and management skills. They should also be good team players, attentive to details, highly self-motivated and able to work under pressure. Experience in managing school-based support projects offered by tertiary institutions will be an advantage.
