Part of Hong Kong’s Conserving Central Project, the Hotel which was the stand-alone Murray Building is one of the city's most iconic landmarks. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Craft an overall global media relations plan in consultation with the Director of Communications, execute press outreach, media events, media calls, collateral, crisis communications support and press material development, achieving greater PR exposure for The Murray
  • Field media questions and pitches stories to the media pertaining to The Murray and its outlets encompassing all recreational facilities, meetings and events facilities, restaurants and bars.
  • Prepare media kits and organizes press conferences as necessary
  • Draft press releases on media worthy news in relevant languages
  • Write speeches for the hotel’s leaders, develops publicity materials and prepares articles for corporate newsletters 
  • Develop, implements and manages media relations activities
  • Manage the development and effective distribution of media releases through internal resources and agencies and contractors where applicable
  • Ensure timely responses for media inquiriesProvides communications counsel to senior management, helping to enhance the hotel’s success by applying proactive and reactive communications strategy
  • Develop and maintains contact with local media, community, trade associations and government bodies.
  • Monitor and maintains media photo library
  • Perform all other duties as required by the Director of Communications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • University Graduated
  • Minimum 5-year experience
  • Multilingual – fluent in both written and verbal Chinese and English
  • Candidate with hotel work experience is preferable
