REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
POSITION REPORTS TO: Factory General Manager
POSITIONS SUPERVISED: Staff in quality department

Responsibilities 

  • Supervising the China factory Quality Management Department
  • Quality Assurance and 6 Sigma project
  • Investigating customer complaint and follow up recovery plan with actions.
  • Coaching and developing staff by providing an environment that encourages ongoing personal and professional development. Managing and ensuring the setting of realistic goals for staff and providing regularly scheduled feedback throughout the year. Ensuring staff receives appropriate knowledge and skill development and growth opportunities
  • Actively supporting the organization in matters of regulatory requirements, technology and training
  • Ensuring that strap products are developed, manufactured and controlled according to adequate quality standards
  • Managing all required activities to support release of commercial products including approval of master process documentation, batch record review, resolution of investigations and assessment of change controls
  • Notifying management of potential quality and regulatory issues
  • Writing, editing, assessing and approving Good Manufacturing Practices and regulatory relevant documents related to quality systems as well as support and involvement in internal and external audits
  • Managing regulatory agency inspections
  • Providing technical and compliance guidance on deviations, investigations, CAPAs, and change records
  • Reviewing, evaluating and approving deviations and CAPAs
  • Providing guidance on the resolution of testing issues, discrepancies and Out of Specifications (OOS), investigations and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) as needed
  • Developing and managing ISO quality system in the factory.

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree or alternative technical/science university degree
  • At least 15 years in Quality Assurance or Quality Control with 5 years or above in managerial position
  • Several years of experience in leading people in cross functional teams
  • Sound knowledge of manufacturing and testing of leather goods, rubber compression moulding and excellent knowledge of flow line processing will be preferable
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant international regulatory requirements as well as ability to accurately interpret and implement Quality standards
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and a passion for coaching and personal development
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin.
  • Familiar with LEAN / 6 SIGMA manufacturing tools to apply on daily quality improvement scheme and continuous improvement activities 
  • Five days station in Huizhou Guangdong with occasional oversea travel.
