Job Duties:

  • Implement APAS R&D Centre technology roadmap in Smart Mobility initiative and related projects, focus especially in machine-learning/deep-learning for autonomous driving technology.
  • Train and deploy machine-learning/deep-learning models for the sensor fusion and perception of autonomous vehicle.
  • Train and deploy machine-learning/deep-learning models for vehicle big data analysis.
  • Tackle problems in autonomous driving development such as obstacle recognition, object tracking & following, lane detection, visual/LIDAR SLAM, video stream processing for remote driving, etc.
  • Work independently to design, implement and test the developed algorithm.
  • Work as project manager to cooperate with a team to build and implement R&D projects.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree from disciplines such as Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Robotics, Electronic Engineering, Automotive Engineering, a engineering related discipline or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of solving problem with image processing, computer vision, machine-learning or deep-learning a must.
  • Hands-on skills of using one of any deep learning framework such as Tensorflow, Caffe, CNTK, Torch, etc.
  • Knowledge in sensor fusion, Visual/LIDAR SLAM, cuDNN, TensorRT, C++ programming in Linux, etc. a plus.
  • Responsible, self-motivated and good problem solving skills. Good interpersonal and team spirit
  • Good command of both spoken and written English, good at Chinese including Putonghua a plus.

A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered. The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
