Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth. 

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Regional Business Manager, Asia Pacific Risk. 

In this role, you will

  • The role requires to coordinate and drive the mandatory activities of Business Continuity Management.
  • Lead the activities for the embedment of Records Management and other policies
  • The role also drives the People and Communication strategy, and other business management activities for Application Service Provider Risk sub functions.
  • Responsible for planning and driving relevant and value focused staff engagement activities and leadership forums at various levels that involves both internal and external stakeholders.
  • The role also requires to plan and manage impactful special projects and change initiatives that spans across Risk sub functions, and coordinate efforts to ensure Risk function is operating in accordance with local regulations, Group policies and procedures, and internal control framework.  

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements

  • Required to have relevant experience working in risk management in a financial institution.
  • Knowledge of change and project management principles would be ideal.
  • University Graduate with relevant years of experience.
  • Highly refined planning, communications, analytical leadership, writing, editorial and management skills.
