Roles & responsibilities:

  • Undertake general nursing and supervisory duties;
  • perform dialysis procedures related duties including haemodialysis procedure, cannulation and provide renal nursing care to patients in accordance with Physician’s prescription;
  • prepare and check all essential equipment, machines and supplies and perform routine maintenance;
  • minimize and prevent patients from infection;
  • create and maintain an environment which promotes safety and security of clients, families and staff;
  • promote and provide health education for patients, families and the public;
  • promote renal patients’ rehabilitation;
  • supervise and train Dialysis Assistant or Care Assistant;
  • work on rotation shift basis (morning or afternoon, Saturday and/or public holiday and hoisting of black rainstorm warning, and tropical cyclone warning signal no.8 or above);
  • require on-call duties when needed; and
  • perform any other duties as assigned.

 

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • a Certificate of Registration (Part I) issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong, or equivalent;
  • a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong;
  • preferably 5 years’ clinical experience in hospital setting; and
  • qualified renal nursing training.

Compensation & employment terms:

The successful candidate will be appointed on contract terms with a salary currently $32,545 per month (Tung Wah Master Pay Scale Point 15) plus a specialty allowance currently at $2,000. Entry salary depends on years of recognized experience. The salary is subject to downward/upward adjustment or may be frozen as determined by Tung Wah and/or as appropriate with reference to the civil service pay review. The fringe benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships.


Vaccine Pass requirements:

Job applicant (if appointed) will be required to enter or work in specified/other applicable premises under the Vaccine Pass and fulfill the Vaccine Pass requirements in accordance with the Prevention and Control of Disease (Vaccine Pass) Regulation (Cap. 599L) and as stipulated by the Hospital Authority/Education Bureau/Social Welfare Department/other authorities at any point of time during the course of employment.
