Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Research Analyst (1 Year Contract)

The Team

As part of the Club’s Corporate Planning, Communications and Membership Division, the Market and Membership Intelligence Department is responsible for identifying market and customer insights to facilitate planning of the Club’s businesses.


The Job duties:

You will:

  • assist Project Manager in providing quality research project deliverables, including project planning, project management, literature review, secondary research, questionnaire design, coordination with vendors, quality assurance, data analysis, reporting, and other duties as assigned
  • deliver analysis, including statistical modeling and present the analysis result to the Project Manager
  • provide a full range of research and administrative/ operational supports to the team
  • assist in producing ad-hoc and tracking research reports for internal users
  • assist in business process design, process mapping and improvement, and relevant process documentation


About You:

You should:

  • have a Bachelor’s degree or above, in Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration or related discipline, and 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • be responsible, reliable, organized, detail minded, self-motivated personality and self-disciplined team player
  • have good interpersonal skills and strong learning ability with a research mindset
  • have good command of both spoken and written English, Chinese and Mandarin
  • have good knowledge about qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
  • have proficiency in MS Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Chinese word processing and Visio
  • have proficiency in Statistical analytical tools, including SPSS, SAS
  • have basic to intermediate level of knowledge and practical application of MS Project


Terms of Employment

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience. A 1-year’s contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate. Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
