JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage the textile R&D team to meet organizational needs to identify and develop high performance textiles
  • Develop and implement R&D procedures and techniques consistent with Brooks Brothers operational excellence
  • Keep updated on knowledge of new technologies, materials, processes, and the strongest raw material suppliers
  • Lead raw material issue resolution and troubleshooting of fabric related issues
  • Fortify vendor relationships and procurement of new resources
  • Maintain a library of fabrics and trim materials that are representative of raw materials


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Textile Engineering or related discipline
  • At least 8 years working experience in garment fabric/accessories field with supervisory experience
  • Experience working for a textile mill in a technical capacity
  • Ability to execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs
  • Substantial knowledge and solid experience in new material development and process improvement
  • Keen eye for fabric trends and a passion for fabric technology
  • Familiar with MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Immediate available is preferred
