Job Posting Details

The Office of the Dean of Business & Management would like to recruit a full-time Research Assistant to work on a research project “The Development of Fintech, Insurtech, and Regtech Manpower to Sustain Hong Kong as a Leading Global Financial Centre”.  The project aims to identify the fintech, insurtech and regtech manpower challenges and issues in Hong Kong’s finance industry.

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in overseeing the implementation of the project.  He/She will be responsible for literature review; conducting quantitative and qualitative data analysis; assisting in drafting research reports and academic papers; coordinating with internal and external parties to organize dissemination activities of the project, and performing other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or above in public policy, social science or business studies, with an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.  The candidate should demonstrate experience in writing research reports, academic papers and other accessible products.  He/She should also possess strong skills in qualitative research analysis tools such as NVivo with experience in conducting qualitative research such as interviews and focus groups.  Familiarity with Hong Kong technology manpower policy would definitely be a great asset.  The successful applicant is also expected to have strong communication skills, project management capability and be able to work independently under minimal supervision.  (Duration: 2 years)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
